SIGNATURE SESSION

This is my favorite session length. You get all the essential shots plus extra time for authentic, lifestyle moments to unfold naturally.
I start with the must-have group photos, then shift focus to capturing genuine interactions — kids being kids, real laughter, and those in-between moments that make the best family photos. No rushing, just organic connections.

1. Studio Option: Studio sessions are available for an additional $300 per hour

EXTENDED FAMILY SESSION

Step 1: Let´s connect
Reach out and share what you’re dreaming of for your family session — whether it’s a small family gathering, a full extended family portrait, or anything in between. I’m here to listen, offer ideas, and help shape your vision.

Step 2: Secure Your Date
If you book through the BOOK YOUR SESSION HERE link, I’ll confirm your date, time, and location first. Then I’ll send over your agreement — signing it officially secures your spot. If you inquire and I send you a proposal, your date is secured once the agreement is signed and the 50% retainer is paid. I’ll then send a confirmation email with all the key details. In both cases, if your session isn’t at home, I’ll provide parking info or meeting points to make arrival easy. You’ll also receive my PDF styling guide and preparation tips, plus a reminder the day before to confirm everything so you feel ready.

Step 3: Prep & Plan
This is where we set the stage for a smooth, enjoyable session.
• Timeline & Light — I’ll help you choose the best time of day for beautiful natural light — golden hour is often ideal. Please note: I don’t reschedule for cloudy or sunny weather, as both can create lovely results. I do reschedule if rain is expected.
• Location — We’ll choose the perfect spot together: a favorite park, DC monument, your home, or a studio (studio rental up to $300/hr).
• Styling — You’ll receive my styling guide with outfit tips, color suggestions, and textures that photograph beautifully. I’m happy to help review outfits or assist with my client wardrobe (when available).
• Comfort & Flow — I’ll share easy posing guidance and tips so everyone feels relaxed. We’ll aim for genuine moments — no stiff poses or forced smiles — and let your family’s connection shine.

Step 4: Your Session Day
This is your time to enjoy! I’ll guide as needed but focus on capturing connection, emotion, and authentic moments. For large families or extended family sessions, we’ll get a thoughtful mix of group portraits, individual family combos, and candid moments — all at a relaxed pace so nothing feels rushed.

Step 5: Gallery Delivery & Keepsakes
Your fully edited gallery will be ready within the promised timeline:
• Mini & Deluxe Mini Sessions – within 21 days
• Signature & In-Studio Sessions – within 14 days
(2 days for rush delivery at $250)
Your private online gallery will let you view, download, share, and choose favorites for prints, albums, or keepsakes. I’m happy to help with album design or print recommendations if you’d like!
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
01. When is the best time for a family session?
I usually recommend scheduling your session during golden hour — the hour right after sunrise or before sunset — for soft, flattering light. In most cases, I suggest morning sessions for the best light, cooler temperatures, and fewer crowds.
The exception is at the Rose Garden, where sunset creates especially beautiful light — that’s the ideal time for that location. I’ll help guide you to the best timing for wherever you choose!
02. Where can we do the session?
You can choose a meaningful location: a DC monument, a favorite park, your home, or a studio (studio rental up to $300/hour). I’m happy to help you select the perfect spot based on your vision.
03. What’s your photography style?
My style is light, natural, connection-focused, and true-to-color. I guide gently but focus on genuine moments — no stiff poses or forced smiles. The final tone of your photos will also naturally reflect the day’s weather (sunny, cloudy, etc.), but I don’t reschedule for that — only for rain.
04. Do you help with styling?
Yes! You’ll receive my PDF styling guide with outfit and color tips that photograph beautifully. I’m also happy to review your outfit choices or assist with my client wardrobe (if available).
05. How long will our session be?
Mini sessions are 20 minutes. Signature sessions are 45–60 minutes. Extended family sessions are up to 1.5 hours. Each is designed to give you a relaxed, enjoyable experience without feeling rushed.
06. How many people can be included?
Mini sessions include up to 5 people. Signature sessions include up to 7 people. Extended family sessions include up to 20 people. If you have a larger group, feel free to reach out for a custom quote.
07. Do you retouch the images?
Your gallery will be lightly edited to match my signature clean, bright, natural, true-to-color style. I’ll gently soften small distractions (like stray hairs or minor blemishes), but I don’t use Facetune, remove wrinkles, or swap faces. Advanced retouching is available for $30–$100 per image.
08. What happens if the weather isn’t ideal?
I don’t reschedule for cloudy or sunny days — both can create beautiful results. I do reschedule if rain is expected, and we’ll work together to find the next best date.
09. How do we book, and what’s required to secure the date?
You can book through the BOOK YOUR SESSION HERE link. I’ll confirm the date, time, and location, then send your agreement. If I send a proposal, your date is secured with a signed agreement + 50% retainer.
10. When will we receive our gallery?
Your gallery will be ready within 14 days. If you need it faster, I offer rush delivery in 2 days for $250. Your gallery will be online for 1–2 months (depending on your session type) for easy viewing, downloading, and ordering prints.
11. Do you have insurance?
Yes! I carry full liability insurance. If your location requires proof of insurance for photography, just let me know and I’ll provide the documentation.
12. Do we need a photography permit?
Some locations, especially monuments, gardens, or parks, require a photography permit. I’m happy to help guide you on what’s needed for your chosen location, and it’s the client’s responsibility to secure the permit if required.
13. Do we sign a contract?
Yes — to protect both you and me, every session includes a simple photography agreement outlining the session details, what’s included, and policies for rescheduling, delivery, and use of images. You’ll review and sign this as part of securing your booking.
14. What’s your rescheduling policy?
I do my best to be flexible while keeping the schedule fair for all clients.
First reschedule is complimentary if requested at least 21 days before the session.
Second reschedule — $250 fee applies.
Third reschedule — full session price applies.
Reschedule within 21 days — $250 fee.
Reschedule within 24 hours — $350 fee.
Reschedule within 12 hours — session fee is forfeited; full price applies to rebook.
For sessions booked within 21 days of the session date, any reschedule request will follow the late reschedule fee structure (starting at $250), unless due to rain or a documented emergency.
Please note: I don’t reschedule for sunny or cloudy weather, as both create beautiful photos. I only reschedule for rain, unsafe conditions, or emergencies.
In case of a documented medical emergency, you may request a free reschedule or a refund (minus non-recoverable costs).
