We’ll start with a few gently guided poses, then focus on real interactions — the quiet moments, the laughter, the anticipation — so nothing feels rushed or forced.

The flow is relaxed and flexible, giving space for siblings to be part of the magic without feeling rushed.

Step 1: Let´s connect
Reach out and share what you’re dreaming of for your maternity session. Whether it’s an intimate session with just you and your partner or a family-centered session with older siblings, I’m here to listen and help shape your vision.
You can easily book your session through the BOOK YOUR SESSION HERE link, or feel free to reach out if you have any questions that aren’t covered in my Q&A. My goal is to make this as smooth as possible so you feel confident and prepared every step of the way.

Step 2: Secure Your Date
If you book your session through the BOOK YOUR SESSION HERE link, I’ll personally confirm your date, time, and location details first. Then I’ll send over the agreement for you to review and sign — this officially secures your spot.
If you inquire first and I send you a proposal, your date is secured once the agreement is signed and the 50% retainer is paid. After that, you’ll receive a confirmation email with all the key details.
In both cases, if your session is not at home, I’ll provide parking information or meeting point directions to make arrival easy. You’ll also receive my PDF styling guide and preparation tips, plus a reminder the day before your session to confirm everything so you can feel completely ready.

Step 3: Prep & Plan
This is where we make sure your session feels stress-free and beautifully prepared.
• Timeline & Light — I’ll help you choose the best time of day for soft, flattering natural light — usually golden hour works beautifully for maternity sessions.
• Location — Together we’ll finalize the perfect spot, whether that’s an outdoor setting, in your home, or a rented studio (studio rental up to $300/hr).
• Styling — You’ll receive my PDF styling guide with tips for outfits, colors, and textures that photograph beautifully. I’m also happy to help review outfit choices or assist with my client wardrobe (when available).
• Comfort & Flow — I’ll share simple posing tips and gentle direction so you feel confident, comfortable, and natural during your session. Whether it’s just the two of you or you have little ones joining, the session will be relaxed and enjoyable.

Step 4: Your Session Day
This is your time to relax and enjoy. I’ll gently guide you when needed, but focus on capturing genuine connection, natural beauty, and authentic emotion.
For maternity with kids: we’ll create space for kids to engage in a fun, low-pressure way, letting their personalities shine through while celebrating your family’s new chapter.
For couple-only maternity, we’ll highlight your bond and anticipation, with a mix of soft, romantic moments and candid joy.

Step 5: Gallery Delivery & Keepsakes
Your fully edited gallery will be ready within the promised timeline:
• Mini & Deluxe Mini Sessions – within 21 days
• Signature & In-Studio Sessions – within 14 days
(2 days for rush delivery at $250)
You’ll receive a private online gallery where you can download images, share with loved ones, and select favorites for prints, albums, or keepsakes.
I’m happy to help with design ideas for albums or recommendations for prints and framing, too.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
01. When is the best time to schedule my maternity session?
I recommend scheduling your maternity session between 28 and 34 weeks. This is when your bump is beautifully round, but you’re still comfortable enough to move easily and enjoy the experience.
02. Where can we do the session?
Your maternity session can take place at any meaningful location — a DC monument, a local park, your home, or a studio (studio rental up to $300/hr). I’ll help you choose a spot that matches your vision and style.
03. Do you provide guidance on what to wear?
Yes! You’ll receive my PDF styling guide with tips on colors, textures, and silhouettes that photograph beautifully. I’m happy to help review outfit options, and my client’s wardrobe is available for certain sessions.
04. Can we include our other children or pets?
Absolutely! You can choose a Signature Maternity — Family Story session to include kids (and yes, pets are welcome too). I’ll help guide the flow so everyone feels comfortable and involved.
05. What’s your photography style?
My style is light, natural, and connection-focused. I aim to capture genuine moments — no stiff poses or forced smiles. I guide you gently, but focus on letting your real connection shine through.
I also aim for true-to-color editing, so your images feel authentic and timeless. Please keep in mind that the tone and look of the photos will naturally depend on the weather, whether it’s sunny, cloudy, or anything in between! I don’t reschedule sessions based on whether the day is sunny or overcast, but I will reschedule if rain is in the forecast.
06. What happens if it rains or the weather is bad?
If we’re planning an outdoor session, I’ll stay in touch as we get close to the date. We can either reschedule or move to an indoor or studio location if available.
07. Do you retouch the images?
All images in your gallery are lightly edited to match my signature style — clean, bright, natural, and true-to-color. I gently retouch small distractions (like softening stray hairs or minor blemishes), but I don’t use Facetune, heavily photoshop features, remove wrinkles, or swap faces.
If you’d like advanced retouching, that can be arranged for an additional fee of $30–$100 per image, depending on the request.

08. How long will it take to get our photos?
You’ll receive your gallery within 14 days (or within 7 days if you choose rush delivery). The gallery will be online for 2 months for easy viewing, downloading, and printing.
09. How do we book, and what’s required to secure the date?
You can book directly through my BOOK YOUR SESSION HERE link. I’ll confirm your date, time, and location, then send your agreement. If I send a custom proposal, your date is secured with a signed agreement and 50% retainer.
10. Can we order prints or albums?
Yes! Your gallery includes options to order high-quality prints, albums, and keepsakes. I’m happy to help with recommendations or design ideas.
11. Do you have insurance?
Yes! I carry full liability insurance. If your location requires proof of insurance for photography, just let me know and I’ll provide the documentation.
12. Do we need a photography permit?
Some locations, especially monuments, gardens, or parks, require a photography permit. I’m happy to help guide you on what’s needed for your chosen location, and it’s the client’s responsibility to secure the permit if required.
13. Do we sign a contract?
Yes — to protect both you and me, every session includes a simple photography agreement outlining the session details, what’s included, and policies for rescheduling, delivery, and use of images. You’ll review and sign this as part of securing your booking.
14. What’s your rescheduling policy?
I do my best to be flexible while keeping the schedule fair for all clients.
First reschedule is complimentary if requested at least 21 days before the session.
Second reschedule — $250 fee applies.
Third reschedule — full session price applies.
Reschedule within 21 days — $250 fee.
Reschedule within 24 hours — $350 fee.
Reschedule within 12 hours — session fee is forfeited; full price applies to rebook.
For sessions booked within 21 days of the session date, any reschedule request will follow the late reschedule fee structure (starting at $250), unless due to rain or a documented emergency.
Please note: I don’t reschedule for sunny or cloudy weather, as both create beautiful photos. I only reschedule for rain, unsafe conditions, or emergencies.
In case of a documented medical emergency, you may request a free reschedule or a refund (minus non-recoverable costs).
